TSK TSK Teach. The word is THAN unless you meant afterward they study and read. Then you can use THEN. The rest of your sentence makes no sense.

Some people are just not very good at spelling and others are non-native speakers.

I think it's quite easy to tell an ESL difficulty from pure laziness. The etiquette should be to make the post as easy as possible to read – especially when asking for free advice. - TF
