I just bought a Canon S820 and have been getting good prints, but recently there have been marks going lengthwise down the paper as it prints. It doesn't appear to be ink, but marks from the rollers or some other mechanical issue. The marks are not solid, but dotted about 1 cm apart. Please advise if this is common with Canon printers and how it can be fixed. Thank you for any info.

What paper type of paper are you seeing this on? Is it thick?

I am using Jet print professional which is a heavy weight high gloss paper. I had no problems with this paper until yesterday. I was printing 5x7's only.

If you haven't, maybe you could try the thickness lever in the right position??? Yesterday someone using thicker Kodak paper had improved, though not perfect, results with the lever in the right position...

try setting the paper tray so that the width adjusment ins't
too tight on the side of the paper. I found that if it is and
the paper doesn't move freely the wheels will spin on the
paper.

good luck
