Problem with 60D, pictures not sharp ??

is the totally new kind of issue - the camera is front focusing and back focusing simultaneously - both in the same image ! This will spark over hundred comments from microadjustment specialists. Some will send their camera back... when they notice this carelessness of Canon QC

I got my 60D yesterday from my usual source (a Nigerian Princess), and I love the new 'Troll Mode' which gets every shot out of focus with extreme noise and banding. However, I've just taken 1.000 shots and one of them is sharp, so it's going back for de-calibration.

the new firmware 5.2.6 on canon site will fix the issue

now you can tell the lens to focus at several points, and just select what u like

I read something about this apparently you can take 41 shots in sequence from -20AFMA through to +20AFMA giving you a sequence of 41 shots (I think) to choose which is the sharpest! With a Sandisk Extreme Pro CF card 90Mb/s it can do this in one go as RAW files apparently.

It wouldn't be the first time in history that someone made 'fun' predictions of something yet to occur, only to have their predictions fulfilled. Ideally only the positive predictions will come true, such as razor sharp AF that can track a bumble-bee at 100 meters distance, using a 50mm f/1.8 lens under failing light conditions.
