Post you..: before .. & ..: after :..

and I had a bit of difficulty remembering where I had seen this, but it stuck in my mind.

That is a spectacular rendition to b&w w/color splash. I can't put my finger on it, but it is so much better that so many I've seen.

How did you convert the b&w portion of it? It's really special for some reason, partly because it's so sharp and the reflective subject matter, but there has to be more to it than that.

Petter did a darker b&w white people street shot that was equally nice it rendering and style. There must be some trick in the conversion. I don't know if he took his in camera or converted later.

I'd like to get his photos and yours together and a couple from the past and have a thread on it, but I don't want to start one because I have nothing with the 20D like this yet to contribute. Normally I am not a b&w sort of person, but every so often one is so good it grabs you.

This was, strangely, my hardest post processing job.

The leaves were partially clipped to pure white and had lost their color as you are seing mostly reflected overcast sky here. The new detail is partly cloned in from other leaves, and partly painted.

And here is my most dramatic post processing. The after shot represents what my eye saw much more than the before shot. Only slightly exxagerated!
