Plain little butterfly

That plain little butterfly made a nice photo for you. Elegant.

Nice shot, Roger. I believe it is a Cabbage White. I spend most of my summer clammering, crawling and laying on my belly to get some half decent shots of these "bugs". I hope my 4500 does as nice a job as you did with your 5700. Congrats!

Ben,

Appears to be a Sulphur, possibly an Orange or Clouded. Very nice close-up. Glad to see you are using a 4500. Can't wait for spring here in ole PA. Patience and moving very slow is the key for getting close to the butterflies. Thanks for sharing.

Someone once jokingly told me that the difference between a butterfly and a moth is that butterflies are fancy and beautiful; moths are plain looking. I'd love to hear the real difference. Any entomologists out there?
