I just upgraded to PhotoShop CS3 via download directly from Adobe. All I can say is WOW! A major upgrade with tons of new features.

My first version was 5 and it has just become better and better.

Hi Gordon,

I have PS CS 2 and I really happy with this software.

Is a big diference with the new CS 3...?

What are the differences please...?

Thanks in advance.

Marcelo.

(Hi all, this is my first post!!! ;P )

I think it's a typo, CS2 is the last version, at best it could be Photoshop Elements 3...

Hovewer i've yet to update and i can't wait to use the new CR 3.0!!

I've been using CS2 for a few days now, used CS for a year, some new features if your really a power user but not sure what differences are most important to you. Check Adobe's website and they outline the new features some of the more obvious ones are the new "Bridge" file handler, better RAW support and one click red eye fix.

If you haven't played with smart objects, optical lense correction, spot healing brush, or the new noise reduction... you don't know what your missing.

I agree. Adobe Bridge is fantastic, the auto exposure, shadowing etc makes such a difference and being able to highlight blowouts is really cool. I haven't even mentioned PS itself :p

Noise Reduction is working ok. However a specialized plug-in like Noise Ninja is better IMO.

I find the auto settings for RAW are always pretty much wrong and I need to manually adjust. Nice idea, but it's too agressive. Maybe a patch could be released to tame the behaviour.
