Ran the blue sky test on my camera the other day. Boy, I thought I was looking at a snowstorm! Anyway, it appears that PEC Pads and Eclipse are the way to go. Just one problem: Where can I get these? I went to Pitman Photo in Miami (arguably the best photostore in Miami) and they had never heard of either of the two. Anyway, I'd like to do this as quickly as possible b/c my camera is JUST SITTING THERE BEGGING FOR A BATH!

Adorama carries the Eclipse fluid/Pecpad combo. I went to google.com and typed in "pecpad" and found several places that carry them.

you may need to contact the Eclipse people. I got their number through B and H who said they were unable to send the product through the mail. Eclipse told me where to find it locally. Good luck. M.

Try Desktop Darkroom in Jacksonville 904-398-9934.
They have in stock and can mail it ups ground to you to arrive in a day.

BTW, It's not illegal to mail or UPS Eclipse if you do it right. That's how we get it to the dealers !!!

I got the Pec pads and the Eclispe cleaner from these guys. Good service.
I recommend using two pads folded on popsicle sticks.
Put a couple drops of fluid on one, wipe the sensor.

Then quickly use the second one to rewipe to insure you don't end up with any spots.

It took me a couple tries, but works great.

I tried to get mine locally but the fools at my local San Antonio camera dealer didn't know what Eclipse and Pecpads are. They were not even interested in helping. Too bad I purchased my 10D and a lense from them. They are worthless.

Anyway, I just received my PecPads and Eclipse from UPS today. I ordered it online at:

I purchased a rubber spatula to wrap a pecpad around to clean my sensor. I do need to trim the spatula a little bit. Does anyone know that the dimensions of the sensor is?
