As a Costco member I had previously used their services in the past for printing images onto canvas. I was happy with the prints, but also found that I usually did not have a problem with the layout of images. Now they have migrated customers to using Shutterfly, and I hate it.
Here is my problem, I have a 9300x6300 image. I want to add some text to the image so it would be on the lower left and right of the print. No matter what size print I select at Shutterfly, the images will always be cropped to fit their canvas sizes in a way that never looks right.
I tried Google, and this time Google was not my friend. I don't know whether I should try to find a different service (although I do get big discount at Shutterfly) or can figure out how if I want to do a 40x30 canvas, how to best get text positioned correctly before uploading. I think what I would need is like a template of sorts that would match the 40x30 canvas, then paste my image into the template, add text, save & upload. I dont think this exists.
