I need to update the firmware on my camera and OM Systems support told me to use the OM Workspace software, and sent me a link to download it.

Using both the latest versions of Safari and DuckDuckGo browsers I tried to do this, however OM Systems requires the user to enter the camera’s serial number before being able to use the download link. This would be no problem except for the one very important face — the data field on the page where the user is to enter the serial number DOES NOT ACCEPT USER INPUT. This is extremely lame, as one can only obtain this software through the OM Systems website. What can I do now?

If you are using an apple computer, there may be problems. Post the question on the Micro Four Thirds Forum where you will find more users who may be able to help you. I haven't tried the download recently, but never had a problem with a Microsoft PC.

You can also update the firmware with smartphone and the OL.Share app.

You omitted the link, but if it was https://download.omsystem.com/pages/owdownload/en that works just fine here.

I entered nine zeroes as the serial number and could download both the Windows and Mac versions using Firefox on Win11.

Maybe there's a setting in your browser or in a security add-on that is messing with the page? Have you tried a different browser or a different device?
