It doesn't seem like DPR finished the review for this camera. I have some specific use cases for this camera, but I have some questions to ask owners here.

How's the AF? Is there face/eye AF? Is it fairly reliable for mostly static or slow-moving objects?

Is there auto-exposure bracketing? If so, how many exposures can I shoot, and if I can use RAW? Can I trigger the bracket with the RM-WR1 remote?

The geotagging aspect is very interesting. Is it possible to calibrate the compass to maintain accuracy? If I'm indoors and the camera can't get a GPS signal, will the TG-7 still at least record the directional data since the compass doesn't require GPS?

Are videos geotagged as well?

Is the lens dust issue from the TG-6 addressed now?

Can the TG-7 sync the time with GPS or via the mobile app?

Is there a long exposure noise removal feature?

I'm not sure if I understand DPR's preview about the aperture, but the lens is 25-100mm f/2-4.9, and yet I can only pick F2, F2.8, and F8? What's the longest focal length that will still allow me to use f/2.8?

Is there a mechanical shutter or it's only an electronic shutter?

Any suggestions on a small plate that will let me mount a TG-7 on my Arca-Swiss ballhead?

Thank you!

Lots of questions that I have no answers for. I would suggest you search up some TG7 YouTube reviews and tutorials from Thomas Eisl, an Austrian photographer. Good stuff with more than just sales hype.

Here’s a first link

I will check out the video, but are you able to check your TG-7 on my behalf?

The autofocus is pretty good and face detect works well. Any issue I have is when trying to select the subject focus point when in awkward poisons like with the camera sitting on the ground, etc. I must rely on the beep or a peak att the green confirm box.

Handheld Starlight feature stacks 8 high ISO images in camera for noise free low light (JPEG output only)

This is all controlled by the camera and varies by the shooting mode and focal length. But even at f/2 this small sensor will get lots of DOF unless you are in tight in micro mode.
Is there a mechanical shutter or it's only an electronic shutter?
I think it’s only electronic, but to be honest I never even gave it a thought. But did check and see no setting, one way or the other.
Any suggestions on a small plate that will let me mount a TG-7 on my Arca-Swiss ballhead?
I have a small screw on adapter, but not a plate. I normally just carry a small cheap vlogging extension pole with collapsible tripod feet. Works fine.
Thank you!

Is there auto-exposure bracketing?

What's the longest exposure I can take? The manual said the slowest shutter speed is 1/2s?!

Can the TG-7 sync the time with GPS or via the mobile app?

Nothing on YouTube addresses this. Sadly!

I have no experience with these.
