So I was on photon to photos websiteite and comparing Om-1 to some other cameras. In the process I accidentally selected Om-1 mk ii as well.

I was really surprised to see that the PDR of Om-1 mk ii was about a stop bet then mk I. This is new to me as I had not read anything about sensor updates in any marketing material or in any review.

Is it really the case? If so then upgrade to mk ii will be well worth it!

Max PDR is 9.69 vs 9.54, so negligible difference. I am not sure what you were looking at, but here are the graphs:

Maybe there is a bug in website chart

Your thread title says OM1 but you are plotting EM1 on P2P. These are very different cameras. The correct OM1 plots are posted by SrMi.

Ah, I see. Thanks for pointing out.

The scary thing is how poor the R1 is compared to FF sensors that are ten years old now.

R1 seems better than most FF cameras in high ISOs, where it is likely to be used and where a difference in PDR matters more.

in fact it is the live-GND that helps a lot in the real world...
