Hi, I recently came across a NIB X-T1 Graphite Edition which will be arriving next week. I sold my old X-T1 and have had regrets since, though I still have and X-T2, E2 and XT-30.

Any how, I've of course updated firmware versions on all my cameras without any problems in the past, and have read other member's questions regarding the sequence of updating the fw. It's my understanding that you can update to the latest fw right over ANY previous fw, including, and in especially this case, the original fw. Please let me know if I'm correct, Thanks for your input.

Yes, I just did this with a XT1 that was near new and old FW. Went right to 4.1 or whatever it is.

More of a subjective affinity I had for it. I look at my previous X-T1 files and I find them quite appealing, could be it's outdated sensor that just speaks to me I suppose. Many would say the X-T2 is a 'better' camera and maybe it is, but for me I think of the X-T1 as a classic ... sort of like the old Pentax K1000. Further I do like the X-T2 and X-T30 ... as well as the E2 and have no plan to sell any of those.

I haven't shot with an XE2 or any of the XE models but I've been thinking about picking up an E2 or E2s for really cheap. I shoot with an XT2, XH1, and XPro2 and I used to shoot with an XT1 a while back. Meanwhile the XT1 isn't as great as the 2, or my other cameras but it was capable and whatever it lacked gave it personality or charm. So if I pick up an XE2(s) then I'm hoping for that same experience I had with the XT1. It's not like I'm spending much for it anyways so I'm just like why not?

Hey thanks again. I have experienced the same about the X-T1 ... they have a subjective quality I like, as you say 'personality or charm'

I wouldn't hesitate on picking up an E2/E2s ... same sensor as X-T1, love the body. One thing to be aware of is it's viewfinder in bright light, it's hard to use, not enough rubber there to shield the light. I think some E2 owners have devised their own work-arounds. All in all I would never sell mine, I love it. Thanks again.

I feel the same about my X-Pro 1, XE-1 and original X-100. Not state of the art but still fine image-makers.

Thank you for your sentiments, someone on this forum posted a beautiful image taken with his FinePix S3 Pro and it's just plain beautiful. Classics are classics for a reason.

Absolutely correct the latest FW upgrade did improve T1 capabilities
