My Christmas Tree exploded!

Darn. You should've use Second Curtain Sync on that last shot, so we'd see the exploded tree :-)

dude - that's cool. how did you do that effect? if you don't mind sharing your secrets, that is.
 
Are you sure that the last one was not done with changing the focal length? Doesn't seem like it since the xmas tree is clear & the same size throughout the exposrure, just the lights jump out.
 
Typo, should have written 'Are you sure that the last one WAS done with only changing the focal length?'

Seems like another method (Photoshop or some double exposure effect) since again the tree is to crisp.
