We have been discussing HDR images that require HDR displays (> 1000 nits) like most iPhones and Macbooks have (not to be confused with HDR merge). To distinguish it from HDR merge, I'd like to call it trueHDR.

While Adobe added support a while ago, it has been hard to share HDR images. In the meantime, things changed for the better, and thanks to Greg Benz's efforts (tutorials and tools), I can share some trueHDR images via Instagram.

While the initial posts have been shot with Leica SL3, not with X2D, they should demonstrate the benefits (or not). Each Instagram post contains two images, one labeled HDR and one labeled SDR. If you do not see the HDR label at the bottom left, your display does not support trueHDR.
