Monitor Colour

Sorry Marty - are there somewhat less technical links?... I was
thinking along the lines of something that can be observed using
the over the counter colormanagement software.
Not that I know of. It's basically for programming geeks. They do have some intro material on the site but even that is a long wade.

Oh well... I'm sure I'll eventually understand it without looking at matrices in their native environment... Thank you.

I have experience some issues with Monaco EZ color v2.5 for to calibrate 2 monitor, their gamma loader don't support more than 1 monitor, any suggestion as workaround?

Yes. This is way off topic. But there is a simple solution. Install Microsoft Color Control Panel Applet. Normally you'd have to delete your Monaco LUT loader from the Startup folder (or just move it somewhwre else like Desktop in case you'll want it back) and replace it with a shortcut to

"C:\Program Files\Pro Imaging Powertoys\Microsoft Color Control Panel Applet for Windows XP\WinColor.exe" L

The " L" part you can add by right-clicking on the shortcut, going to Properties and adding L in the Target field.

That's about it.

That's understandable. If several users can confirm this we know
what's going on.
I wonder where would be the best place (on the web) to access the 'Match 3.6' users. Are we looking for 'Mac' users as well as PC users or is that not relevant?

You can try the Spyder 2 which has been highly praised on all reviews I have seen and is at the same price point as the eye one. Additionally you can try quickgamma. It is a very small program designed by Eberhard Werle. You can download it from http://www.quickgamma.de/ . It is meant to adjust gamma curve and black level only and unhappily, have not colorimetric adjustments but works very well. The best software only adjustment tool I have seen.

Have good luck and good shot

Just to say Thanks for shedding light on the issue I have with the Eye One Display 2 Native Gamma setting. I have learned stuff here that I would never have known about, so I am trully gratefull for all your efforts.

For anyone who may still be intrested! ...(lol -I'm sure there are alot of better things to do) I am still scratching around for some answers on a thread established before we knew that the Match 3.6 software was not able to show us a figure for the Native Gamma. This thread is getting a bit long & tangled now but if I do find the answer I'll post back here as well.
Other Thread here ...
