Yeah Charles,
Its just an old Canon bellows leftover from the 35mm days.
Nothing really special about it. Its over 20yrs old and has served me very well.

The bellows is not attached or fixed to the lens at all or in anyway. Thats the tripods job. The tripod is holding the camera.

No way, would I ever attach anything heavy to that stupid, dumb, idiotic, crazy, mental, simplistic plastic filter thread that Sony has seen fit to stick on the front of a fantastic lens like the CD-1000 has.

Sony needs a kick in the butt for not using a metal thread. Mind you it was probably only intended to hold a fliter. But it does @#$$%%# me off.

Any way thanks Charles and if you ever try it, please post me some images.

Thanks and all the best from Danny

Thanks for the information. I don't have bellows, but I do have an old Contax 50mm f1.4 that I attach in reverse to my Olympus C2020z. Compared to bellows, reversed lens does not give as much magnification, but it surely beats a camera's regular macro mode alone. I will try a bellows system when I have a chance next.

Yes I know exactly what you mean Judy, I dont exactly see beauty as in a sunset, I see more, interesting beauty. We like to see what our eyes cannot always see and sometimes we wish we had not.

Its an interesting world below what we cant see. My personal favorites is the flowers at 25-75X. Others like the insects. Charles who posted here the other day left a link to his site. His photos are amazing. Have a look at his link if you get the chance. Hes down below us somewhere.

Its the old story, Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. We just see beauty in a different way. Im glad you enjoyed it Judy and thanks.

All the best from Danny.
Awesome!!! That "fly2_at_25x" is revoltingly beautiful. I was sitting
here going "oooh" and "eewww". If that's what's crawling around
on my potato salad at a picnic, I never want to go to a picnic again!

The photography is excellent.
