I'm still experimenting what best setting for fine detail. Marco Nero with M6 before added +1 sat and color tone in fine detail. Do you leave yours at default?I think the choice of picture style would centre around what kind of pictures you like to shoot. If you shoot a variety of subject matter then standard is a good all rounder. Auto can produce some nice results too but it is a little unpredictable as you can never be sure about what you're going to get. I don't shoot jpeg but I've got my PS set up to fine detail which produces some natural looking results and is not a flat looking as neutral. If was shooting jpeg I would avoid landscape as it can often produce rather garish results and blows out highlights more than any other PS.
+1 sat but everything else at default. I shoot raw only and DPP opens the images with the values I have set on the camera which will be my starting point.I'm still experimenting what best setting for fine detail. The M50 employs the very same 24.1-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor as the M6 and M5 with the the same native ISO range.M6 auto focus struggles at low light.Do you think m50's af is faster/better than M6's in low light?I Send back my m6 because of auto focus very slow in low light. .
* The M50 working range of the autofocus system is rated as -2 to 18 EV.
* The M6 autofocus system is rated to operate from -1 to 18 EV.
.
No human can tell the difference since scientific comparisons and testing demonstrated that the variance is -0.3 EV between the two models in relation to extreme lowlight sensitivity and capability. Hence, the M6 Auto Focus does not struggle in low light.
Hey try download Autumn Hues set 7,-2 contrast ,-1 sat,0. Canon Japan. Combine with Awb-w. Very accurate color. Compared to other settings I tested. Deepreview recommend this for digic 5 and tried this this with m50. Link https://m.dpreview.com/articles/6647569988/getting-great-colour-from-canon-picture-stylesThanks I'll check that out too.
