Hi her,

Still pretty new to my G5 and busy developing its set-up & capability etc.

I have a problem with Auto Bracket (AB) at the moment. For example, I select the AB on the menu, 3-1/3, 0/-/+, step, and set as per the instructions. However, when I then take the 3 photos and review them they come out as:

±0, -1/3, -2/3 and not +1/3.

What am I doing wrong? I tried this many times and it's always the same. Hope you can help.

May I ask have you properly checked your AW setting? There may be 2 things happened.

1) Had you keep on pressing the shutter until (say 3 at 1/3ev each, then) 3 images were taken;

2) what would be your base ev used? (In case if you had set -1/3ev as your base ev, then, the AW would take 3 images at 0ev (i.e., -1/3ev + 1/3ev), -1/3 ev as base, and -2/3 ev (i.e., -1/3ev - 1/3ev) respectively.

If everything had been correctly set up, then, 2) would be the likely explanation. Personally in order to have a better HDR, I would rather use 1ev interval instead of 1/3ev for more dramatic result.

Assuming settings are like the G6. When you have pressed the bottom button to get the selection of Timer, AEB, etc and have highlighted the AEB, press the top button, you will then be shown the alternative settings, use left/right to select what you want 3/1 and hit menu/set buton.

Thank you alcelc, you are a star. You were absolutely correct with point2: I had the basw ev set to -1/3. I've reset it to 0 and now everything works to plan!

Thanks again for your prompt reply.
