you remind me of my dad. He is kind of getting up there (agewise) and doesnt want to learn much new anymore either.

But thats fine. You can stick with the old technology as it will still be around for a while.

the reason i am talking like this about E-TTL is because i had exactly the same problems. Went to the first party and had all kinds of problems. I generally blame myself first then other people or my equipment so i started reading up on it and found quickly that it was me not the equipment (duh).

Now it really works well and i dont have any problems with it anymore that i wouldnt have with other flash types also.

The only thing i need to do now is top figure out how to add a second flash to the wimberley shapeshifter without the need to use two module 1's. looks like it may work if one piece was a bit redesigned you coul;d simply screw another arm into the metal base ... Then again i am sure somebody will tell me that using two flashes is just the same as using +1 flash comp ...

I stick to the stuff that works, that's right; especially when it's also cheaper. I don't care what others think. Show me a convincing picture, and I'm the first one to change my opinion. it's the results that finally count, not the technique. I'm not a tec geak, I'm afraid.

Good to hear that E-TTL works fine for you to come to terms with your father's authority. So it seems to be useful for something, after all...
