Looking for a stitching program

Many years ago I used a photo stitch program to make up panoramas. The program was Microsoft ICE. Time has passed and now a new computer and ICE is no longer supported by Microsoft, however, it appears to still be available for a download. Many attempts have failed and went to a tech person who spent an hour going through a big complicated process but still unsuccessful in a download.

Exploration shows some free software packages but they seem to require uploads of the images to the internet for stitching. I am looking for a program that can stitch my photos on my computer, not on the internet. I often have no internet connection at my home. Recommendations please? A program easy to use without 6,483 buttons to push to stitch a photo. Thankyou.

Affinity Photo’s very easy to stitch with and reasonably priced. Photoshop’s very good as well, but requires a subscription. I’m sure that Google will turn up a lot of choice if you search for something like “windows panorama app”.

Lightroom has photo merge.

Photoshop also has Photo Merge and is pretty good

Would say these two are pretty easy to use, but requires subscription.

PTGui is great and probably the standard for making panos, but could be a bit complex for most and requires a paid license. You only need internet once to activate it.

You might want to try asking your question in the Retouch forum.
