NX200 20-50 .Taken around North Tuddenham wood this morning ,trying out my tri-pod and the timer .I know alot are the same but i could

































not choose what to leave out .WB is on daylight or camera auto .Any comments again most welcome good or bad they all help .

Very nice! My favorites are 004, 005, 006, 007. I think you could improve 003 by removing the branch on the upper left side.

I really like 006. Looks very good large, well composed.

I'm afraid 003 and 004 suffer from my pet hate.... Horizon lines that are not horizontal. It's all too possible that the ground may slope, but as a viewer there is not enough information to validate that, so that horizontal line needs to be parrallel to the frame.

This is where in my opinion a spirit level does nothing to help the photographer. Horizon lines are a matter of perspective and supporting information such as trees/buildings to validate what is within the frame.

Sorry - my wife has given up hope on me regarding my pedantic approach to this sort of thing and gets really embarrased when I correct people's hanging pictures! But then she always asks me to do do the checks when we are doing any DIY!

The feature I really miss from my Pentax DSLR is the autocorrection of the horizon. Lot of my pictures suffer nowadays...

many thanks for your comments ,yes horizon is out ,been pulled up by the wife on this and the branch .main reason me not looking or considering the horizon ,was a sloping field but still no excuse .

I love 5 and 6, the lead in lines and foreground interest for 6 make it sublime. Did you use auto white balance because I love the colors on the first and second. My sunset shots look a little weak, although I've been mostly been taking them with clear skies.

Also you can use a free program like GIMP, Paint.net or even Irfanview to rotate images then recrop em. That might crop out the branches and level your horizons in one shot. I have to do that a lot because I always seem to miss my horizons by a smidge, I have gotten better as I practice.

The W/B was on auto but used daylight in processing as this brought the colours out more ,don't have any of the software you said just the RAW converter that comes with the camera .So it will be down to practice for me to get it right .
