Hi,

Does anybody know how to load “.set” files to OI share, for example import from Dropbox? Petr Bambousek claims it is possible (in his excellent OM-1 guide), but I cannot for the life of me work it out. I’ve been trying for two days… Petr claims to have a YouTube video (in Czech..) showing how it is done, but I can’t find that either…

TIA for any hints!

Are you sure that he said OI.Share and not Workspace? With the latter, you can save and load .set files through the Camera | Custom Settings menu (I don't know if oi.share has similar functionality).

In OI.Share go to the "cog" settings - Camera Management, but it is only to load to/from the camera. But if there is away to get the *.set files from another source, I'm sure Petr is clever enough to figure out how!

Hi David,

I had the same question. I found this OMD video
, at about the 12 min mark the presenter (David 😄) explains howto load settings to the app and to the camera.
He mentions in the video that this works for EMiii upwards. I tried this form my EMii and Em1X but get the message functionality not available, ( running latest firmware) ( don’t have to option to update firmware either) which is a bummer.

Latest version app on latest Ipad IoS.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Harm

Here you can import that file from your phone.

Thanks JuhaV,

unfortunately that functionality is only available for the E-M1 III and the OM1.

With my EM1X I get this message

Would like to have the additional functionality of chancing profiles in the field, but don’t see OMD adding this for older cameras. ☹️

Do you mean for iOS devices?

The app doesn't natively have a function to "import" settings from another source to the app. I believe you'd need some form of app on the device or an app on your computer that has the capability of viewing individual app's "documents and data". That would theoretically be the only way to do it.

Hello,

it is easier with Android, where “Import file” is part of the app interface. With iOS you have to follow these steps. Download the file and save to device/dropbox/icloud …, hold the file to call contextual menu, choose Share and choose OI Share app. The camera setting will be imported to your OM app ready for future upload to your camera. I attached the process in my iPad (I don’t own iPhone). Hope this will help. 👍

Regards,

Petr
