There was an interesting discussion on dead/hot pixel test on A1.

Probably A2 user are interested to test their A2?
I can't follow the rules of the test, becuse I sent my A2 to Minolta, but I did a tests before.
I quote a part:
"Download this neat little free utility that you run your pics through to test for bad pixels at:
http://www.starzen.com/imaging/deadpixeltest.htm
Make sure you:
a. Shoot in .tif format only with the lens cap on.
b. TURN OFF NOISE REDUCTION - if noise reduction is on (the default) it will not find the bad pixels.
c. Shoot at 4 different shutter speeds: 1/30, 1/10, 1sec, 2 sec
d. report how many and which kinds found (hot or dead) "
report:
1/30 - "number" dead pixels / number" hot pixels
1/10 - "number" dead pixels / number" hot pixels
1 sec: "number" dead pixels / number" hot pixels
2 sec: "number" dead pixels / number" hot pixels
