Hello guys,

So I just ordered a DSLR camera from Amazon.com, the Nikon EOS P900 which was 500 dollars.. I also ordered a 150-600mm contemporary lens from Sigma for the telephoto zoom for birds..

But when I opened the box the camera already had a lens stuck on it. Like its fixed on the camera I tried a lot to remove it. I heard kit lens are bad in image quality. So how to remove the lens of the P900 so that I can attach my 600mm zoom lens

Thanks for the help

The P900 is not a DSLR. It is a fixed lens bridge camera and as such the lens does not come off.

You've got things quite confused. First, "EOS" is a Canon name so it doesn't belong in the same sentence as Nikon.

Second - the Nikon P900 is a compact digital camera with a fixed, non-removable zoom lens. It absolutely cannot be removed w/o damaging the camera beyond repair. The Nikon P900 already has a very long zoom, so you really wouldn't need another lens for birds. It may be challenging for the AF on that camera to capture birds in flight, but that's a discussion for another thread.

If you want a camera with an interchangeable lens you have some more research to do. The Sigma lens is for a DSLR.

You need to either 1) return the Sigma lens and keep the Nikon, 2) keep the Sigma lens and buy an appropriate body based on your budget and specs you want, or 3) return both and start over with your research.

I have a hard time telling anymore if someone is just yanking our chains or completely serious.

He ordered a bridge camera because he may be the troll under bridge....

I think that you are confused.

That is : you confused that post with a serious one.

I thought there were enough clues in there to work it out...
