This characterful cat was first glimpsed laying over its owners shoulder, who was walking his large dog. The cat was simply taking in the view.

The TZ7 is a fine camera but simply isn't fast enough to catch squirrels racing by.

Don't make him angry!

Looks like a feral cat Stuart shame that squirrel didn't have head lights now that would be a cracking shot :D

Beautiful cat portrait, Stuart.. something about your camera was annoying this cat, hence the unfriendly look.. same reason made the squirrel run for dear life, LOL .. better check your camera ;) ( kidding only ).. good captures, thanks for sharing :D ..

Cheers,

Wow, so the cat was on the man's shoulder while he was walking a dog? That's pretty amazing! Beautiful green eyes! And I love the squirrel shot, really shows movement (that may be an understatement?)

The squirrel shot is excellent Stuart, all that movement and rich colour arcing around makes for a very interesting and exciting frame. Excellent stuff mate. :-)

Thanks Erik - I think it was its natural look and not a reaction to the camera. Maybe its a result of living witha large Rottweiler. Stuart

Thanks Lee. The cat certainly had quite a fearsome look but was quite laid back, with no reaction the camera per se.

If you look closely there are actually two squirrels in the image - headlights would have helped :) Stuart

Thanks Bruno.

Thanks kkardster - yes, those squirrels can move fast, floating through the air as if they are filled with helium :) Stuart

Thanks yuki. I was tempted to use 'Snake Eyed Cat' in the title. Stuart

Thanks Max - I nearly binned that image until I looked closer and identified the two squirrels in the blur. Stuart

Thansk Pap - yes a very unusual cat. It certainly had its owner under control :) Stuart

The cat pics put a smile on my face, but the squirrels pic is just fab!!!!! I love the way only the tail of one of them is in focus, and the rest is just manic - but we all know the direction you panned the camera to try to keep up with them, but they clearly beat you!

Definitely a keeper, and if you had that blown up and framed on the wall - I guarantee vistors would look and talk about it!

Thx for sharing (still smiling here!)

Thanks Towser. I nearly binned it but then looked closer. I might well just try a largish print. Stuart

Best squirrel photo ever Stuart :) :) Love the sense of motion and I can't stop smiling LOL .
