Layers Feature

Hi,

Paint Shop Pro uses layers and so goes GIMP. GIMP is like a PS and PSP clone under linux, but it does have a windows version. The best thing about GIMP is it is free and does a lot of things that PS and PSP can do. The major thing that GIMP doesn't implement as well as PS is the layer adjustment. Under GIMP you have to flatten the image and then do the adjustments. Otherwise GIMP can do most things that PS can do. Just one more thing, GIMP does not implement the colour blending mode like PS and PSP...

Photoshop and Photoshop Elements do. Corel Photopaint does as
well. I believe Paint Shop Pro does, but do not know this first
hand. I do not know about any of the others.
