ISO settings help

I'm struggling with the ISO/shutter speed settings on my newly acquired OM-1 ii.

Using Nikon for many years, I set aperture priority with a minimum shutter speed of (say 250) and set auto iso. Works fine. Shutter speed never drops below 250 and ISO floats as necessary.

On the OM-1 I've set ISO-A upper/Default to 12800/200.

ISO-A lowest to to 1/160.

But in A priority the ISO sticks at 200 and the shutter speed goes well below 1/160, depending on the light.

Help appreciated please.

Make sure the Shooting Mode dial is set to "A" when you setup your ISO settings.

The only thing I've done which may affect iso is change the iso button to a different function.

This is the problem. It is set to ISO auto 12,800.

The top dial is set to A.

Pointing at a cupboard in my office aperture F2.8 shutter speed is 160.

Pointing at the same cupboard aperture F8 shutter speed (on the display) changes to 1/30?

Assuming you don't have ISO mapped to a function button, the easiest thing to do is go into the Super Control Panel (SCP) by clicking "Ok", tap on (or use the D-pad to navigate to) the ISO setting and use either the Front or Back control dial to go through the options.

If it literally cannot reproduce the settings you want without underexposing, it will dip into lower shutter speeds so you don't start losing shots due to them being too dark.

Works fine for me here. Go back to the lowest shutter speed setting on your menu and make sure it's still set to 1/160. If it's not, change it and be sure you tap a final OK so you see it in the menu.

Agree. If you half-press and you see ISO 12800 then at that point the ISO is maximized and shutter speed will slow.
