It is a distinctly hard done by old AIS model I picked up awhile back as a bit of a bargain optics fine body like mine lets be kind and say well usedHeck I must have missed you had a Nikkor 300 F/2.8. Must have seen it, but it didn't sink in. Great to know.
I am too happy with the bird shots I capture not to post the odd, one it was really just as a wee joke amongst my non-bird shotsThe hand is darn clever ;-) That really appeals. Love the Heron shot of course, but maybe defeating the line this thread was going in;-) Love it.

Great photos Danny I particularly like the Iris shot it looks like a fantastic landscape on a strange planetSome of us come to DPR and start threads or post comments a lot more than once every 3 to 4 months ;-) ;-) So feel free to start more if YOU want to.
So in that case we get to see from those users what they like to take and for many of us it happens to be birds. I spent 40 years of taking just macro, nothing else, just macro. I wanted a new challenge and that was birds. I could fill up this forum with just macro shots and we do actually see a lot of macro shots as well in here.
Creative depends on what someone calls creative. I see a lot of landscape, architecture and bird shots I would call creative.
Anyway ...
Floating was taken from a rose against a broken slate fence
Same rose
and again the same rose

"Flying home" was from a daisy
Iris. A petal started off as an Iris petal taken with a bed side lamp against the side of a black plastic TV
Over the pond. Vertical flower stem turned horizontal and PP
Swan lake. A flower stamen
Back to front. A Dahlia taken with a front shot and a back shot. Started out that way at least.
Inside out
You drop them, I'll catch them
The mighty Monarch
Thanks Escher
The jugglers
The power of the mighty ant
I must break out some new ones one day. Stored in a folder somewhere here.
So lets not go on about too many birds shots huh ;-)

Very nice
bird photography? Don't get me wrong, I do love bird photography, have not done many, knowing well how difficult they are to shoot, However I have won a dpreview competition with bird photography.
I would love to see more MFT images of different kind, like creative photography or is this the wrong forum to show them?
Since I bought the panasonic G7, I've done more photography then ever with better results.

The rose of all the world is not for me. I want for my part
Only the little white rose of Scotland
That smells sharp and sweet—and breaks the heart.

Very nice Dorian. Dandelions seed make such a good subject for artistic renditions. I use them every spring in so many differnt ways.

Very nice closeup images, however it seems that you have missed a few things . . .bird photography? Don't get me wrong, I do love bird photography, have not done many, knowing well how difficult they are to shoot, However I have won a dpreview competition with bird photography.

I remember some of these from another forum years ago -- Canon perhaps? Wonderful creative imagination you have, Danny!I spent 40 years of taking just macro, nothing else, just macro.
