I've watched a few of the shorter videos on YouTube but I'm looking for a comprehensive video on the main functions of NX Studio. I can't even find a video on Nikon's web site. I'm not PS or LR literate so that may be my problem. I've been using Faststone.

While I don't tend to use NX Studio, that has been largely driven by the lack of any tutorials. I have yet to find anything that Nikon have done to promote its use an features. So will follow this thread with interest.

If you type Nikon NX Studio into the Youtube search feature, quite a bit comes up like this for example:

Nikon NX Studio DAM Software - Key Features It Has Built-In - YouTube

Also there's a lot just from a google search:

nikon nx studio help - Bing

Thanks for the info Ernie. I have seen the references you mentioned above.

Don't think I'm unappreciative of your assistance but, the first guy hadn't even downloaded and used the product, as far as I could tell. It was more like an interpretation of the specs.

I googled YouTube and I googled GOOGLE for tutorial videos and did find a few of the shorter videos helpful. I was just looking for something more comprehensive.

Thanks for your suggestions and taking the time to respond.

You may want to search for tutorials on Nikon's Capture NX-D since NX Studio is quite similar. I started with the former and found the transition to the latter very easy. YMMV

Thanks TJC, you're a smart puppy!

I've watched a couple of his videos and agree. He's helped me too. He and Photo Blue have the most helpful videos I've seen so far.

Thanks Bluzman, that's a good idea. (I thought about that as I was hitting the original post's send button.)

It's probably going to take awhile for someone to put out an NX Studio specific in-depth tutorial.

You are welcome Mel! Are Nikon's tutorials or help section any good at all? You might try posting in the Retouching forum and see how that goes. Best of luck.

I'm a long time NX-D and now NX Studio user. If someone is unfamiliar with these programs, this guys video "Nikon NX Studio | In-depth Step-by-Step Editing Guide" is pretty good. I could quibble with some of what he says. But it's a good overview and starting point. (Once he gets done over-explaining that this program doesn't work with DNG format.)

While not a video, this is a pretty extensive manual - with lots of pictures ;-) - for NX D (which IMO is the major/most important part of NX Studio) https://nikonimglib.com/ncnxd/onlinehelp/en/index.html
Thanks for this link. It is so true that there is little ressources about this.

I would really like to use NX-D more. In combination with Nikon Image space, it looks like Nikon is planning to develop a software ecosystem that Nikon users may actually want to use. It looks like for a lot of people, this could allow a much better integration of camera features than what is implemented in LR. The software still feels a bit clunky, but the potential seems to be there if only Nikons decides to take this seriously.
