I want to buy a low priced D50 body from them. Are they a good seller? I'm going to call them to make sure it is in stock too, so they don't try to pull a out of stock trick on me.

Both beachcamera, and their sister operation buydig.com are fine stores, IMVHO

I've done business with them before, usually great prices and fast shipping. Never had to make any returns with them though. Totally reputable IMO.

They are a good, reputable vendor. They don't have the huge inventory of B&H, but are generally lower priced on what they do stock. They are not a bait and switch outfit.

I bought a TV from them last Christmas and it came in pieces. They did allow me to return it.

I had to pay $38.00/freight. It also took them 5 weeks to refund my credit card.

I will not do business with them again. I should not have had to pay the freight on a damaged item. I must have had to call them 20 times about the refund. Each time they would say it will be done on the next business day.

They lie about their stock (even if something is backordered, they say it's in stock or is available within 2 days), and their returns record is pretty sketchy. If you really want to check if something's in stock, you have to call them, then hope there is no problem when you get it.

FYI, beach camera is also buydig as far as I know.

I can't prove every experience is as good as mine, but I have ordered good sized items three times from their subsidiary BuyDig.com, received excellent pricing and expected 7-10 day shipping, and on each occasion I had brand new perfect condition USA goods in approximately 24 hours(both they and I are in the Northeast of the US). Someone over there is certainly trying their best!

Whatever else may be reported, they are certainly at the top of my list as reputable vendors and will continue to receive my business, in addition to orders I may place with B&H (who has a much greater inventory and has always offered me excellent service and prices as well).

If Beach.com is as responsive as BuyDig.com I highly recommend them.

Yes, they're honest and often have the best prices around. I just bought two D80 bodies from them for $919 each (they just raised it to $949) myself-no problems this time either.

I've had it with Cameta, a dealer I spent tens of thousands of dollars with, after misrepresenting a number of items I've purchased (not to mention long wait times and rude salespeople).

Other than B&H and Calumet, Buydig/Beach is my only other choice.
