Does anyone else out there find this feature very difficult to use? With instructions in hand it stills takes a lot of tries to get it to work.

Could Nikon make it more user friendly via a firmware change?

your opinions, please.

it frustrates me as well, but after much trial and error, I've finally gotten it down now where I get the re-programming right without a single mis-click about half the time.

I've never come close to having this much trouble with the programming of anything else.

I use it in conjunction with the bracketing feature. I've gotten down a system where each time I want to start it, I only need to press about 5 buttons, instead of about 10 if you set it up from scratch each time. It's still a real pain, but it's doable...

I still haven't gotten it to the point where I can adjust the interval between bracketed shots though, so to insert a delay between each shot I use the "exposure delay" function in conjunction with bracketing and interval shooting.

Again, it seems complicated, but it works...

Maybe they're secretly trying to push the overpriced MC-36. Never know.
Well, Nikon got one sucker anyway... :-)

I have the "overpriced MC-36" and it works very well - use it on macro pics, with my D200/D300 and the 105mm/2.8 VR.

I got it working pretty quickly just a week ago. I did refer to the manual a couple of times in the process. It is not the most user friendly item on the menu. My old Canon G5 and S50 had a much more simple approach for this function, but it is also not as capable either.

Thanks for all of your considered responses. At least I know I am not alone in frustration.
