So funny story, I have a macbook M1 running macOS 15, I have a Sony A7III with the latest firmware, I install the latest version of Imaging Edge Desktop, and it doesn't work. I can see the camera in the list of cameras to connect to, but when clicking on it I get this error : https://support.d-imaging.sony.co.jp/app/imagingedge/img/faqs/faqs_pct_01_en.png
For the full story of what I did :
For the full story of what I did :
- It worked the first time, then it stopped working
- The FAQ (https://support.d-imaging.sony.co.jp/app/imagingedge/en/faqs/) advises to disabled/re-enable the local network permission, which did nothing
- Restarting the macbook did nothing
- I managed to get it working a second time by completely uninstalling Imaging Edge Desktop, reinstalling it (at which point it prompted me to give access to local network, which I did), then the next time it stopped working. Since then I've tried to uninstall/reinstall multiple times, but it never prompted me for the local network permission again and it never worked again, despite checking that it does have the local network permission
- I tried multiple usb cables, multiple usb ports
- Unplugging/replugging the camera doesn't change anything
- Meanwhile if I plug it on my windows desktop it works flawlessly every time.
