I have updated all my E-M5 articles plus updated the basic settings page

Hi Gautam

I closed the site months ago, I did not had the time available it requires o keep a site like that going.

You can find a number of really good books today on the E-M5. During the 1st few months it is important to discover these great cams by yourself. Stay away from forums.......

I see below is a link to some info on the old site....the contact me still works, contact me.

Keep in mind some of the articles on the old site did not take in account things we know today and for which there are answers today.

Welcome to the fun world of the OMD series, I took a number of spectacular images with my E-M5 and still enjoy them as much as I did when taking the images.....

Best

PS. To be really direct, there are some really negative guys on here......oft I think they paid to report negative things. Try to avoid that, its not good to read while discovering a new system, we all just human.

Thanks Siegfried for your note and advice. Yes, I agree that the best way to learn a camera is to play with it. One of the reasons I bought the EM5 was to have a small camera with me that I can carry all the time and because the reviews talk highly of the image quality of the available MFT lenses. I see you have a good array of them. One thing that I want to test is how easy is it to use my Leica M lenses with manual focusing. I have bought a lens adapter and trying the keyline option and magnification.

I visited your site. Wonderful images.

Wow that sounds like an interesting combo, the EM5 with true Leica. I own a few of the Panasonic with Leica logo, but I read they far from true Leica.

When the EM5 first came out it was magic, the shape, splash proof, high quality and the amazing IQ, the the EM1 and now the EM5 MKII were launched. Both has significant quality upgrades and in comparison the EM5 now looks and feel a little ....... less expensive:-)

That said the IQ did not change and the firmware updates kept the functionality in pace.

The EP5 is a wonderful camera, absolutely gorgeous to hold and to handle, extreme quality feel and the IQ on par with the EM5, in fact I read its the same sensor they share. Functions are less, but on the EP5 enough.

I tried the EM5 MKII in the shop and I will take it in a flash. Reason I will delay in doing so is I believe the Hi Ress function will develop fast to become something really powerful, the NKII is only the start. I cannot help to think the creative effects one could make with street photography for example......I think as we start witnissing what creative photographer will do with the moving sensor hi ress mode, this might even grow into a future creative filter option.....

It all starts with the EM5, get to know it, master the great menu and high level of adaptation the EM5 allow, learn to really use the live view (Olympus mastered this option) and you will be ready for the even more powerful EM1.

Thanks for your feedback on my site....I am dying to add more, just do not get to that.

I love to see results of your EM5 plus Leica work

Siegfried
