I have fixed my front focus problem - how to

Since there is nothing to be adjusted inside
Pentax AF lenses

It is possible to adjust the rear lens element on the AF-lenses which has effect on focus.

Not surprising really. I just wish they would put the adjustment capability into the software and not through a hidden "service" mode.

I don't think this is that simple for some of us.
For me back focusing on my K10D is as frustrating as it gets.
on K10D
DA 16-45 is backfocusing at 45mm
FA 50/1.4 is accurate
F28-80 is accurate
F28/2.8 is backfocusing like creazy

the same 4 lenses are spot on on my old istDS, no backfocusing whatsoever.

I am sure that adjusting focusing plate on my K10D will most definitely make two of my lenses work fine and 2 others, that are OK now, will start showing front focusing phenomena.

Just use the new K10D menu interface to the debug mode to adjust the backfocusing on the 16-45 and the F28 and save each setting. Leave the other 2 lenses at the default. No external factory tech software needed.

Just another tag, i will check on my K10D, backfocus with allmost all lens

ok, 3 screw turned 135° clockwise and now my FA50 and my tamron 90mm 2.8macro are absolutly in focus, my other lens need to be tested my DA40 pased from -130um to -70um

Tagging. Great thread. Unfortunately some of my lenses exhibit FF while others BF. Good thing these are my older, consumer-grade, kit lenses which I'm slowly replacing anyway.
