had the camera listed at $1699.98----- found it on the
web----www.bilibi.com--- for $899.00--- staples has a 110% price
guarantee----went from $899.00 to $818.90---- got a 2 year extended
warranty for $99.98---- 6% sales tax---
$ 55.13 total $ 974.02------

this web site is the only one I could find at that price that had
all the necessary information for staples to price match----
needed to say E-20N ---
USA Warranty--- and a list of included items-----

Thanks Gladys for the awesome heads-up!!! I was debating on the E-10 and the 717 for weeks, finally decided on the E-10 yesterday. Found what I THOUGHT was a great deal on the E-20 on buydig for what would have cost me just over $1050 with a 10% coupon I had. (as of right now, buydig is OUT of stock on the $1,059 E-20). And today.. Gladys decides to get creative! lol! Better than the deal some of us got when we bought our 2020's for $510 on the mobshop deal years ago!

Bad News? I got a confirmation e-mail stating delivery date of 11/5 !! So much for 3-5 days! That is the bad news if you can call it that!

I did think I was going to have to pick him up off the floor for a min. everytime he would sa" has to say what ever" I pointed it out to him on the printout. actually he was real nice about it, one of the sales clerks ask me if he could have the print out ( I had an extra with me) why not !!!!

That's the process I used to order a Fuji 3800 for my son a couple months back. Worked like a charm. Congrats on the deal.

My staples didn't have it in stock either but it is on there web
site, I had to do into the store and they ordered on line, had to

Staples did make it easy--- couple months ago thought I wanted a sony 707 went to sears to pricematch they refused. they did me a favor !!!!!

My staples didn't have it in stock either but it is on there web
site, I had to do into the store and they ordered on line, had to

I was going for the E-10 like you suggested but when I came across this just had to go for it. funny thing, could not fine an E-10 with the info.I needed for staples to do a pricematch that would be less than the E-20, So whats a girl to do !!!!

I just tried to do a price match over the phone with Staples and the woman said they would not honor that price from Bilibi. She said they were not an authorized reseller. Perhaps my local store will be more accomodating. I don't think anybody is really selling the camera for that low of a price, so I think Staples would lose their shirt on that deal. But it's up to them whether they consider a competitors' price real or not. It's worth a shot.

No deal here... just got a call from BuyDig saying it was a price mistake, s/b $1249, and they are out of stock. Cancelled my order there

Hey, if you can do it, so can I! I never get too old to learn new ideas and ways to save money. Is there anything else I need to know before I go to staples and beat up on the sales clerk?

It's too bad Staples doesnt carry the new F717. As appealing as
the E-20N may be, based on the new dpreview F717 review I'm pretty
set on having one of those as my next digicam.

I too was thinking of buying the F717 but after browsing their forum and reading all the compaints about low light focussing problems, I'm having second thoughts. I do like the idea of being able to use my existing smartmedia cards with the E-20N and also having the 1gig storage available also. I also like the idea of being able to use my FL-40 flash. I think it will compliment my UZi very well.
The only negative for me is the crappy service provided by Olympus.

I used your inspiration and did some hunting for companies that might give a pricematch on the Sony F717. Well I found one. They gave me an offer to match the Bilibi.com price plus thier $39.95 next-day shipping, which comes to $788.95 + free shipping.

I don't want to say where I got this fantastic offer yet until I actually see the credit go through. You see, you have to purchase the camera at full price, and then thier customer service department will credit me for the pricematch.

There's is no question that you got the better deal on the price match.

The E-20N is a strong contender for me, also. What killed it for me was the 4X optical zoom. I consider 5X to be a bare minimum. I'm spoiled with my UZI, I guess. I would have actually preferred the 7X/8X zooms of the Dimage 7Hi and the Coolpix 5700, but the image quality of the F717 leaves those two in the dust, IMO.
