How to make advanced corrections on area LR

Hey guys, this is maybe a weird question, but when I try to make a local adjustment in a picture (for example, using a mask or a brush), I get a mask window offering me only a few of the options lightroom has available. For example, I can not change the hue of a color in that window. Can I expand the options? It seems crazy to me that I cannot make advanced local adjustments in my picture.

Thanks!

You cannot expand those choices. There have been a lot of user feature-requests for Adobe to include e.g. HSL adjustments in the local set - for brush, grad filter etc - I expect the developers are fully aware of the demand for that. No news so far.

Seems like a natural - and attractive - development to me.

(Easy for me to say since I have no earthly idea what technical difficulties implementing that might raise, nor whether a new Process Version might be needed.)

Meanwhile this calls either for an inventive use of the existing tools - or, external edit.

You do have the Tint slider underneath the Temp slider. Also if you click on the Color box you can adjust the color to be applied with local edits (including the eyedropper for choosing a color from the image). That does add a tint effect but no solid colors are available in Lr.

If you want to do that in a parametric, raw workflow, then you'd need another raw converter, e.g. Capture One, ON1 Photo Raw or the free darktable. Hopefully LR7 (if there's going to be such an entity) will offer what you're asking for.
