How to enlarge EVF's FOV/magnification?

This question is actually for a digital scope/monocular with EVF, but since I'm too lazy to register on a hunting forum, please just assume it's a mirrorless camera with a tiny EVF and no screen.

The horizontal FOV is less than 24 degrees, which is just too narrow.

I thought maybe there's some optical mod or add-on to magnify the image more?

Or put a small inexpensive camera behind the ocular lens? At least the screen would be better than the original eyepiece.

Direct video out from the device is UVC, which I searched a lot and it's a dead end for portable standalone monitor.

I'm confused, too narrow, or magnify, please clarify.

It you want to magnify,

then you can use Manual Focus, with a typical 'Magnify Assist' feature to view enlarged, wait for something to occur, take the shot.

i.e. AF/MF Toggle, here's how I use that with my Sonys

AF/MF Toggle, MF Setup

You can choose the area of the frame that get's magnified, and/or move the magnified area around while magnified, before taking a shot, and after, when checking where focus was taken.

Also for my Sonys: Focus Magnification has two powers, uses rear center button to toggle from default magnification, (8.6X on rx100m3) to double the magnification to 17.2x when center button pressed, back to 8.6x when pressed again, back to normal framing view when shutter button is half pressed. Models magnification factors vary. My RX1r is 5.9x and toggles to 11.7x

Nothing to do with software, I'd like to physically magnify the whole picture, so the perceived display area to my eye is larger.

Think about a retro "video glasses" vs modern VR headset, displaying the same picture.

An electronic viewfinder is just a small display screen and an eyepiece lens to magnify the image.

The fact that you are seeing only a small angle of view is probably an indication that the resolution is not sufficient to increase the magnification.

However, if you do want to increase the magnification (and angle of view) you need to replace the eyepiece lens with one of shorter focal length and wider angle of view. That is likely to be expensive!

Yes, nothing to do with objective lens, only eyepiece lens, this is what I meant, any sources to buy?
