How many photos have you done with your Lumix?

On mine - I am still learning. I enjoy the photographs shown here. :)
I so far, with the FZ150, I have done almost 145.000 photos ... I hope it can last much longer! :-D

Let me know how many has made your camera.

As an update, my FZ200 is only at 130,874, most likely lower than it would be because I've been shooting more with my wife's ZS100 the last couple of years.

what's the use to know how many clicks you made on your camera?

It is a question of knowing better the state of wear and electro-mechanical stresses of your camera over time.
It's like asking after a few years, how many Kilometers / miles your car has traveled.

Here's how to obtain the "true" shutter count on FZ150, even if somebody has reset the file/folder numbering. It works for the FZ200 too, just the buttons are labelled differently. (It may work on other Panasonic cameras too, but I have only tried it with FZ150 and FZ200).
On the TZ100 it is mode dial in P, Right cursor + AE lock + Disp + turn camera on. Then Left cursor + Menu set + AE lock to cycle through the normal / error /info screens. Power off to get out.

While in the service menu is you can also save all camera settings to a file on a SD card (and read them back).

Camera was purchased in March 2013 and has accompanied me on at least 10 trips back to its country of manufacture since then.

13,000 in a little over three years. FZ1000 Mk1.

As of May 13th, 2022 I have a count of over 147,000. On my FZ300, I'm fast approaching the fella who had 210K on his fz200

Will update again if anything chnages

As of Aug, 9th I have taken, 183,612 am very curious to see if anyone has taken more then me haha

Just while people are talking about shutter counts, the LX3 method is on my page at http://homepages.ihug.com.au/~parsog/panasonic/10-count.html as below.

I still use it from time to time but its OEM battery is now rather tired so I need to get some cheaper clones. Using raw files and Photolab5 + DeepPRIME made it into a new camera, able to shoot above ISO 400 now.

Today it is at 11,286, so it is lightly used. The last shot taken gives it a false count of 12,298 so I have mussed with making new folders at times and other times renumbering files for some other convenience.

Just in case I delete my old pages, here is the LX3 method from that page...

To show the logged error codes and also the internal history of counts of camera actions, follow this procedure....

1. Get the camera into an initial state where it can be made to get to those other information displays by being in Record mode with the dial at P then hold Focus and Up (cursor) buttons and then turn camera on. The camera will turn on like normal and tell you to remove the lens cap if you haven't already.

2. Now to get to the interesting bits, hold Focus, and press Menu/Set, and Left (cursor) together. The camera now cycles though three different displays each time you do that. Normal > Error Code Log > Operation History Counts > Normal > etc

If your LCD is set to turn off in a short time it will do so, revive the LCD display by doing step 2 again.

Power camera off to reset back to normal operation.

The Error Codes really are the work of a service person to make sense of, the explanation is in the Service Manual but without spare parts or adjustment procedures then it is a "back to service" job to fix errors that do appear if your camera is misbehaving. Mine shows all zeros at the moment.

The Operation History Count is much more interesting...... mine as at November 2009:

Camera Info
Ver 2.10 : 0000 : 010B
(obviously firmware level followed by ??)
No: xxx (long number displayed, maybe the main board serial number?)
PWRCNT: 2362 (the number of times camera turned on)
SHTCNT: 6849 (the true camera total shot count, only reset by some internal service operation like replacing parts)
STBCNT: 219 (the flash count, number of shots with flash)
PSVCNT: 15 (number of times the auto power off has actuated)

Morning everyone,

Just bought my FZ200 from a high street used electronics chain in the UK to learn a little bit more about photography (and for travel hopefully) - am very lucky in that the shutter count is showing less than 800! Must have been bought and then put away in a cupboard for most of it's life!

An update 9 years later, as the lower writing is from 2014.

From 2017 - 2019 I used a TZ100 (ZS100). When reaching about 57000 pictures in 2019 I unfortunately too well cleaned the lens and a a part of the coating got scrubbed away. Refflections started to make a light spot mid in the pictures and the fault couldn´t be repaired in any realistic way.

So I bought a new similar TZ100 (ZS100) in 2019 and there is no kind of problems with that camera, as I have been cautious when cleaning it. I have now reached about 56000 pictures with it.

With the small, old FX 30 (from 2007) there is some 55000 pictures. It has been almost anywhere, on the roof throwing down snow, it has been soaking wet and drying for several days, and started to work again :-) . It has been along in cold winter weather and hot summer weather It has been on boats, aeroplanes, cars, trains etc. around in Europe on travels. 2-3 years ago I thought it would give up, but it started working better and better, so I can't really throw it away :-) . And it is really small, it can be in any pocket.

The TZ 25 that I bought some 2 years ago (to replace the FX30) has now taken some 17000 pictures. It takes higher quality pictures, (but if I need to take flash pictures then I prefere the FX 30)

regards
