How do you interpret this picture?

should read "looking in".

actually, if you look at the way the barbed wire is angled (towards him) he is actually on the "outside" of the facility. makes it hard(er) to climb over that way.

i actually tore down 15 feet of fence that looked like that trying to climb over it on hickam afb when i ditched school (1st and only time) in the 12th grade.

They tend to spell it in Arab, which I can't read and we here in Switzerland spell it with a K - sorry, if I got you confused there...

about the picture - it reminded me about working at Goodyear Aerospace in Goodyear, Arizona. Goodyear Aerospace had the fence "pointed in" as if to keep employees in the plant. I would not doubt "keeping employees in" was the motivation behind the fence design. ;-)

SEARCHING FOR A BETTER SELF PORTRAIT

Maybe if you knew something about the Geneva Convention you would
know that it is illegal. I am all for hunting down terrorists and
killing them. I am even for hunting down their families, friends,
and everyone else who has associated with them and killing them.
However, I do not believe that holding hundreds of people without
bringing charges for years on end is going to help anything. It's
only adding fuel to the fire and giving terrorists another
recruitment tool.

Try signing up more suicide bombers if we started executing all
known associates and family of suicide bombers.
Maybe if you knew something about the Geneva Convention.

The holding of prisoners at Guantanamo is not illegal. They are enemy combatants captured on the battlefield. They are not being punished with prison. They do not need to be charged with any crime, nor provided lawyers for their "defense." They are being humanely detained until the end of hostilities as provided for by the Geneva Convention.
