Hello, I am new to the D850. I want to do some timelapse vids made from still images. I want to take bracketed sets of exposures using the internal intervalometer. this works on A mode, but not on Manual mode. Any way to bracket in this way on M mode?

I found these two comments from Nikon:

The D850 allows for up to 9 frames to be bracketed, and up to 3 stops (EV) apart. However, to do 3 EV bracketing, you can only enable 5 frames of bracketing or fewer.

Restrictions

Time-lapse cannot be combined with some camera features, including live view, movie recording, long time exposures (bulb or time photography), the self-timer, bracketing, HDR (high dynamic range), multiple exposure, interval timer photography, and focus shift.

Check custom setting e6: Auto Bracketing (Mode M) to see what you have set. This setting determines what is changed when bracketing in Manual exposure mode. If flash isn't being used then only the other options will be changed as defined by this setting. For example: if e6 = Flash Only, and you are in M mode and not using flash, there is nothing for bracketing to adjust.

If you are allowing shutter speed to change, ensure that you allow enough time between the start of each interval to allow each of the shots to be triggered and buffered or saved. The interval time specifies the time from the start of one activation to the next. The time required for the shots in your bracket needs to be less than the interval time or else the next interval will be skipped.

Also, if Interval Priority is set to ON, you cannot bracket shots when interval shooting.

Thom Hogan's ebook for the D850 is highly recommended.

If cameras and lenses can have autofocus then why can't I?
