Could you expand on what you are asking for? The various cameras already support various noise reduction settings of one sort or another.

Probably never, as many people shoot RAW so they can control those aspects of the processing.

Cameras like Canon's do perform in-camera noise reduction on RAWs to keep noise down (and one reason why Canon RAWs might look cleaner coming out of the camera), but I think that may come with a potential side effect, and possible loss of small detail as a result, and one reason why Nikon maybe doesn't do it.

For me, I'd rather do it in post as that way I can control how much NR is being done, and in some cases, the noise may not be a problem or in an area where it matters that much (so less NR would be needed, or it's targeted, but I can control it versus letting the camera do it across the board).

As we are aware that the Pre- Capture feature only produces Jpeg Files. I could really use Raw files for Pre-capture. I have heard that Nikon is eventually going to upgrade the Pre-capture feature to have Raw files as the output. when this would happen is stil to be determined.... I think it is about time for this upgrade....I believe Olympus and possibly Canon has this capability already.

You title is about Denoise, not pre-capture. Thats why folks are a bit confused.

The purpose of shooting RAW is to have an untouched original file. If you want to de-noise it when processing that’s up to you.
There are also some competing brands that bake noise reduction into their RAW files. Having options is good, I guess. ;)

Like going to the store to get meat to grill or smoke and only being offered the strips of frozen, fully cooked chicken; or the ready-to-eat little smokies. So much less work!

Seriously, raw files with camera adjustments baked in is silly. If you want ready-to-eat adjustments baked in, shoot jpg.
