I purchased a Minolta AF MACRO 100mm 1:2.8 (32) D lens a couple of years ago. I haven't used it in the past two years, I was hoping some one could shed some light on what the 2 selector switches do.

one is a two position switch and has a FULL position and a LIMIT position.

The other is a push button which all I can see is it holds open the shutter (I Think)

I (think) I have the instructions at my home in Louisiana, but I am in Arizona.

Thanks for any help.

This is the focus range. It blocks the lens from focusing past 3 ft or so...in either direction. Thus limiting it to macro range (inside 3 ft) or normal range (outside 3 ft).

Nope. It's normally used for focus hold, but can be programmed to DOF preview (or possibly another function) by settings in the camera.
