Hi,

I took some captures with a SD1 Merril in raw x3f format in bracket mode of the sunrise t his morning.

What tools can I use under Linux that can take the 5 bracketed shots and combine them into an HDR output 16/8bit final tiff/jpg?

Regards,
JP

Looking good!
Fill light kinda has same [effect]?
Kinda ... like I said ... "I wish I knew more about HDR"!

My problem is:

As I sit in my dim room gazing at my monitor set for dim, namely white at 80 cd/m2 and black at around 2 cd/m2, that is a maximum possible viewing DR of 5-1/3 EV which I would never describe as "high" !!

So, it appears to me that the so-called "HDR" is just a way of compressing the DR of a source or sources into a viewable final output ... and there are many ways to do that, for example your aforementioned Fill Light.
