I am running out of good titles!

We found that standing water (or nearly so) was starting to freeze, at the same time as the water was full of life (third image). And the first two are simply rock.

Thanks Ed!

The mountain photo (here I go again) isn't quite as sharp as it should be. The wind was raging down the valley and although I used the tripod with the legs collapsed and crouched down near the ground I couldn't achieve any real stability. I hadn't expected winter and was dressed with just a lightweight jacket - I felt winter's first bite of the season (which is just fine with me) even though it isn't even Halloween yet.

I cropped slightly the image that you selected, and I now notice one of the lines near the upper left edge is cut at the frame. Perhaps a little more space on the left would have helped by keeping that curve from being cut. Perhaps another edit is needed.

Best regards,
Jim
Ah yes, Jim, that is truly a special title...

But fortunately, the photographs make up for it. I like them all,
but the second image is magnificent!

My very best,

Ed

Wow that second shot is great. That'd be one to print up big for display and general ogling.

Jim,

I like them all but I agree with Ed, the second one is really great!

Rock certainly, but certainly not "simply". Very good color and texture.

Thaniks,

I think this should have an abstract title since all of these fit the mode. You do have an eye for such shots.

all are very nice but the secondone impressedme for the dimension and volume in this picture. We have the reference of size given by the small trees at the middle and it is important to me.
very good

All beautiful, intriguing and very well taken. My favorite is Transition. Jan :)

Hey Randy,

Seems like the second image wins - thanks for your comments,

great - that is what I hoped the trees would do! The scene was very impressive, making my job reasonably simple.

Hi Jan, I am glad you liked Transition. Amongst all the rock shots, it provided a nice contrast and some relief. A lot of fun to shot too!
Thanks for your comments,

Jim,

These are all terrific...I thought I liked the first one best when I first caught these, but the second one has really grabbed me upon further viewing. Wonderful sharpness in these close-ups...
