Well i found another tree frog tonight at my house, found him on my screen door. I shot these at f10 and still dof is shallow, what shutter speed should i use at f32? I think the pre-flash upset him a little, these were shot in the dark outside. I most likely moved the camera some after i focused because i had to recompose in the dark. I'm sure i moved the frog on my finger out of the dof a little.

I had to talk him down off my finger, he was threatening to jump!

I thought this was going to be another 'hawk with mangled prey' image.. frogs are cute :) what lens did you use here? good exposure and dof..

I'm not an expert, but I think I read somewhere that the biggest factor of DOF has to do with magnitude. In the first picture the frog takes up almost all of the frame, and I bet (but then agian, really just guessing) that that is the reason for the shallow DOF.
