I appreciate your advice. I went home over lunch and the maroon
screen was still there. I had a service pack 2 update from xp to
be installed that I had procrastinated on and figured what the
h* , I'll try this. It turned out everything came back, but my
keyboard is working odd. No caps, no space bar. I will try
another keyboard and see what happens.
I was just alittle upset at first, I think it will work out (knock
on wood) Thanks again. I'll repost later. -Jared
Sounds like you may have a display problem. If I were you, I'd
invest some time in trying to get it working again, rather than
going for a new machine straight away. If possible (I'm assuming
it's a laptop?) try connecting it to someone else's monitor and see
what you get.
I know the description is vague and odd but any advice would be
great! Its a
Sony VAIO about 4 or 5 years old.
My computer crashed!!! Lovely. I was all excited to get going and
take some photos to test out the new cam that cost me pretty much
all I have to spend at this point and not I have to buy a new
computer. Cry me a river right?
Oh well...I plan on posting some photos in about a year when I can
afford a new CPU. Have a good one!!!!
What is your computer doing? Does anything come up on the screen at
all? I only ask as I am a computer hardware engineer....
