Goslings in soft light

Thank you Mike,

I have the same problem.

ISO 160, 1/170, f 2.8

ISO 200, 1/210, f 2.8

ISO 200, 1/200, f 2.8

More photos from my hour with the Canadian goose family. The last
time I posted I was concerned that the strong light that
illuminated the goslings took away their softness. Now you can see
them up close and soft as they are. All photos with my Fuji S602 +
B-300 at 357mm equivalent.

Comments and suggestions welcome

Have been comparing the two sets of photos very carefully and find
it very difficult to say which I like the most !!. This set with
the soft lighting is ideal for the subject and certainly emphasises
the delicate down of the goslings. This gives very gentle pictures
that I find very appealing.

The original set with the stronger lighting is more dramatic and
appeals to the technical side of me, but for the life of me I can't
say which is the best.

Both excellent Morris, keep on keeping on !!!!

Thank you Mike, each photo is special in it’s own way. It is a very hard call.

Morris,

The "three" goslings look like a challenge entry to me. Hope I get something decent to enter, guess it won't be geese or goslings.

Jim

Morris, you have several things going for you with these pics, but the biggest must be "patience". I'm sure we'd all get better results if we'd just give it more time to happen. Thanks for the story of the shoot along with the good pics. Joan

Thank you Jim, yes but these were taken 3 days too soon for the chalange.

Thank you Joan,

It was so much fun taking these photos and watching the goose family the time flue bye. You are absolutely correct that it is very important to take your time and think about what you are doing as you take photos. The same is true when you try to blend into nature as I did to take these photos.
