Very colourful gecko - the ones that hang around my house and work
tend to be much duller, they almost look translucent.

Geckos are native to Australia aren't they? Where are you at?
Yes, this gal is Australian, from a huge area in the center of your continent. It's been many years since your country has allowed the export of native species. This one is captive born and many generations removed from Australia. They began to be imported into the US about 5 years ago from Europe.

I'm in Utah and although we have a few native geckos they aren't nearly as exotic as yours. Australia is a herper's paradise.

I bought mu c2100 for two specialized purposes besides the usual family and vacation shots. I wanted the zoom to "shoot" moose, deer and other wildlife in the Wasatch Mountains but I also wanted a macro function to shoot my geckos.

Nice coloration! Crested are a lot of fun. I don't have one now
but will someday.
Thanks for the reply.

I reexamined the knob-tail photo at the orignal resolution- wow! Tell me how to do it. Are your geckos willing models?

There are lots of gecko photos posted on http://www.kingsnake.com/forum/gecko
there is also a herp photography forum there.

Boy I was excited to see that subject
"Gecko ...2100 macro". Thanks for sharing.
