Hi, I just upgraded my g9x camera in my dive-photo-rig from mark i to mark ii to get faster autofocus and faster raw saving.

the Mark i had this nice feature of AF point zoom when in one-shot AF. When on, after a successful AF, the focus frame is magnified, making it easier to see that it succeeded focusing, and at what depth it focused.

I can't find a function to prevent taking a picture when focusing didn't succeed.

eg. if I set the camera to continuous AF, continuous photography, and I float against the subject with the trigger down, the focus frame will remain blue, and it will continue taking pictures even when I am too close for focus.

Is there a setting to "fix" this?

Anyone know why this camera recently got so expensive used?

I know that some Powershots had that function, so I looked for it om my G9XII but I also couldn't find it. Even consulted the manual but no luck there either. So it could simply be gone.

What I would do if I were you is to look on the mark I in what menu the setting is for this function and then look on the mark II if you can find it there. If you don't have the mark I anymore just look it up in the mark I manual.
