Hi everyone. I am still relatively new to digital (October 2024), but I have been generating a lot of shots and have come to the conclusion that I would like to start ordering some enlarged prints for room display. I have a few questions.

1. So currently I edit with Lightroom Classic. I have been exporting completed work as a TIFF format and the final size is about 130mb. Obviously I would like to order a large print that captures as much detail as I can. What are your suggestions for how to get the best print reproduction from the original as possible? File size, format, etc. There is so much to learn here so any advice is appreciated.

2. What medium of print would you recommend. I was thinking canvas only because that is what I have seen the most on display. If you like other mediums please let me know your thoughts.

3. What size prints would you recommend for wall display?

4. What sites / stores would you recommend to order prints for great quality with outstanding detail? I'm not sure I need museum quality, but a noticeable amount of detail that a photographer would appreciate.

Thanks everyone!

We ask that no uprezzing be done to the images so we have a clean slate to start with.

Talking about uprezzing, we have several facilities that send us clients that want iPhone images printed large. They just don't want to fool with them. We just enlarged 6 iPhone shots (all about 3mp) to 35x48. Never in a million years could this have been accomplished 5 or 10 years ago. All on canvas and although pushed to their limit they looked really good.

I agree on all points you stated. I have done the same thing and the results are fantastic!
